The Second Confirmation: The Heartbeat

Well everyone it's safe to say we have a new Swick on the way. I'm getting emails from all over the family and I think everyone's excited! Our last appointment was on Wednesday and we were able to hear the heartbeat. The doctor turned on his device and...whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh. He was able to get the heartbeat on the first try. For those who believe a fast heartbeat is a girl and slower is a boy the heartbeat was normal so it's still up in the air. Devan looked at me and I had a smile from ear to ear. The doctor let us hear the hear for about 15 seconds and I wanted to hold his hand on there for a little longer, but I didn't. Everything is on track and the next appointment is in 4 weeks and the ultrasound is in 6. So in January we should know if we will be blessed with a healthy boy or girl. People ask Devan and I what we prefer and we both just want a healthy baby. Mommy and baby are doing fine and the boys are good too.
